A former Minister of Commerce, Mustapha Bello, has become the latest person to join the Niger State governorship race under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He made his intention known during his official declaration in Minna, the Niger State capital.

Bello said that he is in the race to develop Niger state and provide the dividends of democracy to over four million people.

The former Executive Director of Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) promised that if elected he would use his connection across the globe to make the state an investment haven.
