Legendary American singer, Prince is dead.

He reportedly passed away at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota on Thursday, April 21.

Rumours of his death surfaced online, following a report published on gossip website, TMZ.

However, Associated Press (AP) subsequently reached out to the singer’s publicist who then confirmed the his death.

Meanwhile, Huffington Post has also confirmed that Prince has indeed passed away.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

The 57-year-old singer who churned out countless hits, such as ‘Purple Rain’ and ‘When Doves Cry’, was recently hospitalized.
