There’s a possibility “Kachikwu” has popped up one or two times on your social media or RSS feeds today. The Minister of State for Petroleum has somewhat attained celebrity status since the streets got hold of a controversial petition he authored and sent to the President.

The letter is essentially a petition to the President against NNPC Group Managing Director, Maikanti Baru alleging that the latter has been guilty of insubordination. But the general tone of the letter is as though Kachikwu blames President Buhari for what he calls the “sidelining of the board [of NNPC].
