The younger sister of President Goodluck Jonathan has died.
The deceased, Mrs Nancy Jonathan-Olei passed away on Sunday, January 4, at a hospital in Yenagoa.
The development was communicated via a statement by the spokesperson to the president, Reuben Abati.
The release said: “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan announces with deep sorrow, the passing away of his beloved junior sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei.
The demise of the 52-year-old sister of the president comes after a brief illness.
The family will announce the burial arrangements, subsequently.
