Police are still searing for the three corps members who were abducted from their lodge in Ogonokom, Abua/Odual Local Government Area on June 29, 2013.

Corps members Ogochi Martins, Chijioke Richard and Esther Nwachukwu were abducted in the middle of the night at the corpers’ lodge 20 minutes after they had turned off the generator supplying electricity to the building but authorities say since the captors demanded N20m ransom, nothing was said about the time they would be released.

The Abua/Odual local government Chairman, Udi Odum said while they wait nervously for the return of the youths, he has he ordered the relocation of other corps members to a safe place, and there were plans to erect a fence at the new corps members lodge to enhance their security.

“We are planning to erect a fence and other necessary things that will ensure the safety of the corps members at Ominima. We had to move them from Ogolokom to Ominima so that they would be far away from the riverside,” he said.
