The Police on Sunday said it was not responsible for the arrest of Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori, Premium Times has reported.

Spokesperson of the Kaduna Police command, Aliyu Usman said, “We’re not aware of his arrest.”

Maikori had been rearrested for the second time on Friday for false information he shared about the Southern Kaduna killings.

An associate of Maikori, John Danfulani said he met the embattled label executive in a police facility along Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Kaduna.

“I was with Audu on Friday night. Left him at 8:30 p.m. in Ibrahim Taiwo Road cell,” he said.

He also said Maikori will be arraigned on Monday.

“He will appear in court tomorrow,” Mr. Danfulani said.
