On Wednesday, May 18, a girl believed to be one of the kidnapped Chibok girls was found loitering in the woods with a Boko Haram insurgent and a 15-month-old baby, by men of the Civilian Joint Task Force near Sambisa Forest.
Thereafter, several versions of the story of how Amina Alli was found, surfaced on the internet.
While the Nigerian Army swiftly claimed credit for her supposed ‘rescue’, some other reports inferred that the Civilian Joint Task Force was responsible for her freedom.
Also, the name of the rescued Chibok girl was for some time, intensely debated, until every one eventually got on the same page.
Bearing on the whole saga and media circus surrounding the news of Amina’s freedom, some skeptical souls took to Twitter to register their skepticism and suspicion.
Am I the only person who thinks there may be slightly more to the rescue of one of the #ChibokGirls than meets the eye?

Call me a conspiracy theorist but anyone following the #bokoharam will know that chance 'discovery' of hostages is not new in the insurgency

#bokoharam kidnapping of civilians predates #chibokgirls. In many cases, hostages were simialrly stumbled upon by the Nigerian military

Upon further inspection, it was suggested that rescued hostages were actually released by #bokoharam as a result of some agreement with govt

Not saying this is indeed the case but strange that 200+ #chibokgirls under severe lockdown but one just happened to be near the CJTF
— Ryan Cummings (@Pol_Sec_Analyst) May 18, 2016
How far were CJTF then from the camp in Sambisa where other 200 were being kept? Why was this hostage out of the camp site? Many questions

The narrative presented is that the #ChibokGirls is a prized commodity by #bokoharam yet the hostage wandering in Sambisa suggest otherwise

Nonetheless, irrespective of the machinations, let's hope the other 200 #ChibokGirls & other 2000 #bokoharam female captives are released

Dunno, it's a large number of girls, and it's been a while.. feasible that one got away?

The terrorists are not in one place, they probably have a wife each from these girls and living separately
