Otite Seye Vincent: The path (30 Days, 30 Voices)

“Every day, it will torment you, every minute it will disturb you and every second, it will plague you.”

It usually begins in a moment of truth. That moment when all suddenly becomes clear to you. That moment when you make a realization that will change your whole life. That moment when illumination comes to the dark and dreary tunnels of your life; that golden moment…

The moment when you have decided, when you have made up your mind, when you have crossed the Rubicon, and determination seizes you to the point where doubts and disbelief ricochet off your body. When one thought, one idea, one concept has enthused you to forge ahead, so much so that going back does not trifle with your mind.

That exact time, when one idea has held on to your jugular, threatening to strangle you. When one thought has taken the form of a Cyclops, and stands before you to say; “I will not let you go unless you use me”.

When you have got to this stage, you will realize; this idea, this thought, this concept, this notion, this belief, has turned to your utmost desire, your deepest yearning and your greatest craving. Every day, it will torment you, every minute it will disturb you and every second, it will plague you.

You will realize that there is no escape from it; it haunts your being – distressing and agonizing your mind. You will realize it has taken over your life. You will realize it has become your ruling passion. You will realize that it has become “You”. And when you have got to this stage, YOU will have found out the path, you will have chosen the path – your path.
