Osinbajo-led panel interrogates Magu again

The committee set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke for the second day running met with the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.

According to The Vanguard, Magu who appeared before the investigative panel led by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo was quizzed for about two and a half hours on Friday.

After his session with the panel, the acting EFCC chair declined to answer questions from journalists. While exiting the VP’s office at the Villa, he simply replied, “Wait for him, I am coming back now.”

The Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami (SAN), who is a member of the committee also refused to speak to journalists, saying, “Go and speak to the Chairman.”

The Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura was later seen discussing with Magu at the presidential villa.
