Legendary singer, Onyeka Onwenu, was a guest of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, on Monday, August 10.
The Director-General of the National Centre for Women Development, honoured the invitation of the ICPC, over the allegation of N17million contract bribe levelled against her.
During her visit, Onwenu was interrogated for hours and when her interrogators were satisfied, she was granted administrative bail by the commission.
Vanguard reports that the famous entertainer was allowed to go home on self-recognition, while investigation into the allegation against her continued.
A source of the newspaper was quoted to have said: “She honoured the invitation on Monday 10th of August and she has been granted bail.”
“We are waiting for further directive, the next action depends on whether she is culpable or not.”
