Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Chude Jideonwo, Oge Okoye, others to be honoured at the YAL Summit

The Young African Leaders Network is back with its 2013 Young African Leaders’ Summit and Honours scheduled to hold on Friday, April 26, 2013.

The programme is aimed at helping the youth find their voice and take their place in propelling Africa to greatness through showcasing role models who are making a difference in different spheres of the society.

According to Lorenzo Menakaya, the Summit Director, “The summit presents opportunities for strategic partnerships; accomplished role models to interact with at close range; a forum, to give the youth a voice and a chance to be of help to society

This is set to give the youth sufficient motivation and inspiration to light up their desire for growth and change.”

The Network is made up of young Africans who are leading in different spheres of society; current members are from Nigeria, Cape Verde Islands, the Gambia, Ghana, South Africa, Liberia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mali and the African Diaspora.

VENUE: Princess Alexandria Auditorium, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

TIME: 9am.

CHIEF HOST: Professor Bartho Okolo (Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria).

Presenting the Keynote Speech, the Special Adviser to the President on Technical Matters and Secretary to Subsidy Reinvestment Program (SURE-P), Nze Akachukwu Nwankpo.

And Among the Speakers are: Mr. David Church, MD/CEO, Thornberry Hotels; Chude Jideonwo of the Red Media Group, & The Future Nigeria Project; Linda Anukwuem, President of AfriPRO, Texas, USA; Bob Manuel Udokwu, accomplished Actor and Special Adviser to the Anambra State Governor on Creative Media and Author & Filmmaker, Onyeka Nwelue.

And among the Honorees will be: Nigerian Queen of African Cinema and UN Ambassador, Omotola Jalande-Ekeinde (Humanitarian Award); Eminent, World Renowned Physicist, Prof P. N. Okeke (For overall accomplishment as an African Global Role Model); Music Superstar, Waje Iruobe (for Excellence in the field of Music); Serial Entrepreneur, Chude Jideonwo (The Leadership Award); Award-winning Actress, Oge Okoye (for Achievement in Entertainment);  Veteran Actress, Patience Ozokwor; and Soul Musician, GT The Guitar Man.
