It would have been near perfect to use the word ‘shocking’ in the headline for this article but when you’re done reading this, you’ll understand why we didn’t think it necessary to frighten you.
In five days, a tell-all book written by Pulitzer prize winner, David Garrow will be published. The biography titled, “Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama”, contains details you can safely describe as scandalous about the past life of the 44th President of the United States.
In 1983, 22-year-old Obama met Australian, Genevieve Cook who was 25 at the time at a New Year’s Eve party. In a memoir written by Cook, she said they made love on their first date after only two weeks of meeting. The sex was so awesome Cook wrote a poem on it and said, “B. That’s for you. F’s for all the f***ing that we do“. She also described him as “earthy”, “passionate” and “comfortable”.
Cook also revealed that she, Obama and other friends did cocaine regularly at parties, although she admitted he mostly did less than the rest of the pack. She said, “For every five lines that somebody did, he would have done half.”
The book also reveals Barack Obama’s relationship with his openly gay university professor, Lawrence Goldwyn. It says, “Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness but ultimately decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex“.
Lawrence Goldwyn was said to have a huge impact on Obama as they developed a relationship before classroom. Goldwyn visited Obama in the White House when he was president.
Another interesting revelation from the book is how Obama maintained a relationship with his ex while dating Michelle before he eventually married her.
