Following the revelation that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has frozen the account of Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, Nigerians have taken to social media platforms to express their varying opinions on the issue.
While many are arguing that Fayose’s immunity does not prevent the freezing of his account, others are of the opinion that the anti-graft agency should have obtained a court order before placing embargo on his account.
Here are top reactions from Twitter:
If the EFCC actually need a court order to freeze Fayose's account then freezing it without one is a foul.

The way Buhari aggressively uses EFCC to hound opponents should be the same way he should have handled the economy before it collapsed

As regards money laundering, yes EFCC has a constitutional right to freeze accounts even during investigation. Let's stop making noise.
