The Governor of Rivers state who was suspended from the Peoples Democratic Part by the National Working Committee as described it as worrisome.
While reacting to the suspension, the governor through the Rivers commissioner for information, Ibim Semenitari said, “We are concerned, as we believe this is political witch hunt. It is worrisome.
“The reason given is the suspension of the Obio/Akpor council. This is purely a legislative matter and done in accordance to the laws of local government councils in Rivers State,”she reportedly stated.
I recall when the end for stubborn Gaddafi came and he was chased to a tube by a young soldier who opened fire on the about-to-be-captured Leader, the shocked Gaddafi was shouting on the lad to stop, as if he did not understand the situation at hand. This reaction crazy. Who needs to be told that it is a political witch-hunt. Is Amaechi not in a full political war with Jonathan? What else does he expect? An embrace? I see the Jonathan I hv watched closely release his full arsenal on the government and pple of Rivers State, if for nothing to prove a point on the vicious effect of a federal might. Amaechi should quickly and officially decamp to a platform that will at least speak for him.
It is totally unacceptable and undemocratic for national working committee of P.D.P to suspends the executive Governor of rivers state for alleged Anti party activities, the suspension is unacceptable and a treats to democracy in the country, if the pdp is sincere in reconciliation in the party the NWC of the party should have not make such move by suspends d governor, as a member of Rivers State chapter of reconciliation committee I think reconciliation is inevitable, in order to position the party ahead of General elections. And to fast track our job in the reconciliation committee I advise the NWC of d party to rescind their decision on the suspends of rivers state Governor.
