New Video: Flavour honours Mc Loph with 'Iwe'

Highlife sensation, Flavour, has released a tribute video for the single, Iwe. The dedicated track for his friend, Obiajulu Nwaozor,  popularly known as MC Loph started with a moving scence where Favour lights a candle.

He goes on to sing in his native Igbo dialect. Although a lot of people might not understand the language, the pain is naturally felt through this emotional performannce-the feeling of loss is palpable. Flavour was not alone in his grief, there were shots of some mutual friends whom he shared with MC Loph on the video. They all appeared on screen to show solidarity. Recurrently, the pictures of MC Loph while he was alive was flashed on screen including a couple of the burial photos and his coffin. The video ends with the candle being put out.

During his life MC Loph reached celebrity status after he released a sampled version of Osita Osadebe’s ‘Osondi Owendi’. He died in a car crash on the 14th of September, 2011 as he headed to his hometown for his traditional marriage. His only sibling, his sister, also died in that crash leaving his pregnant fiancée injured.
