The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested 40 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers.
The command also recovered over 500 rustled cattle in Mararaba Udege, Odu and Agwada areas of Nasarawa and Kokona local government areas of state.
The State commissioner of Police, Abubakar Sadiq Bello, who made the disclosure Monday in Lafia, the state capital said about two weeks ago, a special squad made up of gallant officers and men of the command embarked on a joint operation with members of vigilante and Miyyati Allah Association, and about 40 suspects criminals were arrested.

He added that the operation led to the recovery of over 500 rustled cattle, one Ak47 military rifle with 24 rounds of live ammunition, a pair of military camouflage uniform used by their commander and 13 motorcycles were also recovered.
