If you use Instagram a lot, and not just to post your photos, but to see all things flashy and shiny, I bet you must have come across one very popular Instagram page belonging to Hushpuppi. If you don’t know what we are talking about, simply put, Ray Hushpuppi is a very popular Nigerian socialite, rich and influential, and of course, Dubai-based.
In a recent post by some Nigerians, there are speculations that the socialist has been arrested in Dubai for fraud. While these reports have started a whole trend on Twitter, the reports are yet to be confirmed as authentic.

On Twitter, the Hushpuppi trend has birthed other trends as users are talking about, not just him, but his close associates – Mompha, Woodberry, and a host of others.
I'm happy that Hushpuppi has been caught.
Alot of young people wanted his levels OF questionable wealth, at least now they know there are consequences

Interpol reportedly arrests Hushpuppi, and Mr Woodbery amongst others have reportedly been nabbed by Interpol and the FBI in Dubai.

According to some reports, the socialites, Hushpuppi and Woodberry were both arrested in Dubai by Interpol and the FBI over alleged fraud relating to the supply of ventilators to the United States.
While many expressed their opinions on this case, a few pointed out that his arrest was long overdue, as no one knows where he gets his money from and how he is always displaying it on social media. Some users also prayed that if the whole story is true and if he is innocent, God will see him out.
The same IG people who were hailing Hushpuppi's "drip", are the same ones celebrating his arrest. I fear who no fear Nigerians. Wetin Hushpuppi no go see for Gucci pic.twitter.com/qqjTAbLjtM

The trend also reminded Nigerians how Instagram Big Boy, Mompha was arrested by the police last year and how the case may still extend to the ring of socialites which they all identify together. Some users, however, called out on those who are rejoicing over his arrest as they tagged them as hypocrites for lashing against the socialite at a time like this when they are guilty of asking him for favours on Instagram.
Interpol will handover hushpuppi to EFCC just like they did with mompha and in no time he’ll be free again ,same old story ,different person

While the report on this case is yet to be confirmed, many users are just asking for one thing – proper investigation and justice for him whether guilty or innocent.
