The Media Blog: Hardly any activity on their social media, website… is TStv really ready?

It’s no longer news that TStv will launch on October 1.

The entry of the cable network into Nigeria’s media space was one of the top trending topics on Twitter NG yesterday.

Reactions were on both sides of the divide on how the Nigerian-owned platform intends to dislodge the current monopoly of DSTV.

If activity on its website and social media platforms is anything to go by, then one wonders if TStv is actually ready.

The last post on its Twitter page was made on July 11; three months ago. Three months ago.

Research postulates that customers on the average expect a response to a complaint within forty minutes. TStv’s Twitter doesn’t give the impression that it is ready for this.

However, they have shown some form of engagement on their Facebook page. Engaging, as expected, replying customers’ enquiries and providing a pretty decent customer service.

A quick visit to the “where to buy” page of the website provides next to no help to prospective subscribers.

For those whose hope are currently high, maybe you people should calm down first.
