Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke might just be in Jordan Peele’s next horror movie “Us”

Winston Duke

Ready for a new Jordan Peele horror movie? I can definitely say that I am! Since directing the phenomenal, horror-satire 2017 film Get Out, and making history by winning the award for Best Original Screenplay at the 2018 Oscars, Peele seemed to have gone on a low profile. When, recently, fallen rap god and “free thinker” Kanye West tweeted out a blizzard of problematic, triggering posts about liking Trump, slavery, and referenced the Sunken Place from Get Out with a never-before-seen image of an endless, pristine-looking hallway in his family’s home, Peele tweeted at West: “*Gets inspired. *Starts writing Get Out 2.*”

But we now know there was something else up Peele’s sleeves! On Tuesday, the director took to social media to announce his next horror movie Us, billed as “a new nightmare.” And that’s not all: Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss and Winston Duke are in talks to star.

With so many upcoming film projects post-Black Panther, Lupita’s career is really at its peak. The Handmaid’s Tale star Elisabeth Moss could extend the pathos of her Offred character to Peele’s Us, and Winston Duke could definitely use another movie by an Oscar-winning director to shine again. Peele making a new horror movie with this potential cast feels dizzyingly good, and I’m thrilled it’s happening. Look for Us in March 2019.
