Leke Adeboye wants you jokers to know, RCCG’s money is for him & not for you

So here’s the thing with privilege – unlike several other things like oxygen, life and brilliance, it’s unevenly distributed. Things like family of birth, nationality of birth, opportunity, exposure which are a foundation for several other things like race and wealth are a function of sheer luck.

And it’s okay to be privileged, except you’re Leke Adeboye – you don’t accept that all you have is merely privilege (a function of luck) or be empathetic with your privilege. Ignorance!

So here’s what exactly happened:

Son and Personal Assistant to Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the RCCG worldwide recently put out a video where he encouraged people albeit sarcastically to engage in farming and trade by barter instead of writing the church for help.

He described those seeking scholarship to international universities from the church as ‘jokers’, advising them to save enough or attend other cheaper schools in the country.

The distasteful video ended with the show of vanity – “obviously not in Nigeria: feel the caps, feel the sunglasses”.

Watch the video below

@lekeadeboye, how are you and how is your daddy? Tell him I send my utmost regards and kind considerations. – You are making a lot of sense with this trade by batter suggestion, but let me ask you this, does your dad pay his private jet pilots with cassava or rice? Does he exchange garri for aviation fuel? – Charity they say begins at home, why not start by collecting tithes and offering in grains and cattle like it was originally intended in the Bible? – The ‘jokers’ you mentioned so respectfully, could go to one of the numerous redeemed schools littered across Nigeria, can’t they? This shouldn’t be rocket science. – You speak of money ‘saved’. I ask from where precisely? Through what means was this money ‘earned’? – Do accept my kind regards to yourself and Pastor E. A. Adeboye, your father. – ◄ Matthew 23:23 ► King James Bible Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law…. – ◄ Leviticus 27:32 ► New International Version Every tithe of the herd and flock–every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod–will be holy to the LORD. – ◄ Deuteronomy 14:22 ► New Living Translation “You must set aside a tithe of your crops–one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.

Whatever inspired that video must have come from Lucifer himself because not only has he put his name out there, he has dragged his father and the Redeemed Christian Church of God into the conversation.

At the end, Leke Adeboye might just be in the category of the usual rich, spoilt pastor’s kid and his access to sensitive and vulnerable information is driving him nuts.

With Love.
