Lagos workers join electricity tariff protest, lock down DISCO in Ikeja (PHOTOS)

Workers in Lagos state have joined in the protest against the increase in electricity tariffs by the electricity distribution companies.

The DISCOS had refused to heed to the Nigeria Labour Congress’ warning to not embark on the planned 45% increase in electricity tariffs.

Members of the NLC and other Trade Unions have made good the threat of the Congress to kick against the new tariff.

A crowd of protesters consisting members of the NLC and concern citizens are currently protesting in Ikeja against the said hike.

The protest began from Ikeja and moved to the Ikeja office of the Electricity Distribution Company, IKEDC.
