Court of Appeal upholds Oshiomhole’s suspension

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as member and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC.

Oshiomole had approached the court after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja suspended him from office following a suit filed by some members of his party from Edo.

We have no record of Obaseki’s defection – APC

The All Progressives Congress has said that they have no record of the embattled Governor of Edo, Godwin Obaseki’s defection. Reacting to Obaseki’s announcement of leaving the APC on Tuesday afternoon, APC’s National Publicity Secretary Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu said:

We cannot comment at this moment on media reports suggesting the Edo governor or anyone else has left our great party. The party has no record of the reported defection of Governor Godwin Obaseki from the Progressive party

ICPC has seized multi-million property allegedly linked to Governor Bala

A multi-million naira property allegedly linked to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi shas been seized by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The agency which noted that the Bauchi Governor cannot face trial yet because he enjoys immunity by virtue of Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution, said the seizure was pursuant to its powers contained in Section 45 (4) (a-c) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
