AfriPRO Houston presents “Africa Rising,” 5th Annual Holiday Scholarship.

The Awards and Gala will hold on Saturday 3 December, 2011 at the Stafford Convention Center.

The single largest fundraise of AfriPRO Houston is organised to benefit a charity of choice that has made a positive impact on the continent of Africa.

The gala is a black tie event featuring cultural live entertainment, an elegant dinner, and late night dancing with business and community leaders in attendance.

 AfriPRO Houston was founded in 2005 as a chapter of the Global African Professionals Network. A statement released on their website highligted that their primary mission is to motivate a network of African professionals to build a new positive image of and appreciation for Africa and Africans by organising business, charitable, and professional networking events that inform, educate, empower, and celebrate Africa and Africans.

AfriPRO has experienced steady growth and their programming now reaches more than 400 professionals in the Greater Houston area. Members of AfriPRO include attorneys, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, nurses, accountants, IT specialists, and entrepreneurs of African descent.
