Jim Iyke goes bald in Moses Inyang’s upcoming movie ‘Cold Feet’

Jim Iyke has played every role out there – lover boy, casanova, criminal, fraudster, cheating husband and in AY Makun’s Merry Men, a Yoruba Demon. Critically, his Nollywood footprint is largely typecasted but in Moses Inyang forthcoming movie Cold Feet, Iyke plays an ex-military veteran called Colonel Mayowa. And yes, he goes bald for the role.

The latest entries into Iyke’s Instagram shows him having a haircut, and one picture in the company of Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas, who also stars in the film. Other cast members that we know so far are Beverly Naya, Femi Adebayo and The Wedding Party star Enyinna Nwigwe. Adebayo won in the category of Best Yoruba Movie in this year’s AMVCA, and has continued to cement himself as an actor versatile enough to act in English and Yoruba movies. I haven’t seen British-Nigerian actress Beverly Naya in a movie since The Wedding Party sequel, and so Cold Feet looks like an upcoming project that will bring her back to the movie world.

The plot details of Cold Feet hasn’t been revealed yet. It could be a period piece a lá Izu Chukwu’s ’76. Jim Iyke going bald won’t be the first this year. Back in June, Nancy Isime shaved her head for the still-upcoming movie Omaambala, directed by Austin Nnaemeka Soundmind, and incidentally starring Jim Iyke. Cold Feet is co-produced by Darlington Anyiam-Osigwe, and we’ll bring you updates as the movie develops.
