APC unable to draft running mate for Bello as Kogi election beckons

The fate of the All Progressives Congress in the December 5 Kogi supplementary election, remains uncertain.

After being unable to convince James Faleke to serve as running mate to Yahaya Bello, the APC has reportedly failed to recruit Olusola Olumoroti as a replacement.

Faleke, who insists that he’s the governor-elect following the death of Audu Abubakar, has taken the Independent National Electoral Commission to court, for declaring the November 21 governorship election inconclusive.

According to Vanguard, the ruling party’s attempt to woo Olumoroti as Faleke’s replacement was turned down.

It is believed that the politician rejected the APC’s offer as a result of his loyalty to t’he Audu/Faleke ticket’.

Everyone associated with the Audu/Faleke ticket have been instructed not to have anything to do with Yahaya Bello’s candidacy.

Meanwhile, there’s been series of protests in Ekinrin Adde, the home town of James Faleke, in support of his ambition to be declared governor-elect.
