If there’s anything to take away from the past week going by people’s statements, it’s that the world is yet to enter a consciousness where any leader has done anything comparable to what Adolf Hitler did. The White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer tried to make that comparison and he got burnt. If only Reuben Abati’s horribly misogynistic comments objectifying women would have inspired as much outrage as Spicer did. If anything, reckless comments are now unofficially endorsed in Nigeria. As you’ll see going through our top ten quotes from the past week below:

-Kemen seems to be done with all the stigma that has come with his disqualification from the just concluded Big Brother Naija show. So done that when TBoss’ beautiful sister, Wendy, took to her Instagram to lament his inclusion in the affairs of regular housemates post competition and audacity to show his face, he showed up in her comment section with the quote above.

“I felt that some people didn’t like me in the house and I addressed that a few times. I came out and found out that many more people didn’t like me. I don’t seem to know why and care why.”

-TBoss herself may have been mute when she was asked to speak pidgin but she was not mute this past week when asked on Cool FM to address the disdain that people have for her.

Cabals are meant to be secret. I am still looking for those guys. Honestly, I don’t know where they are. I can’t tell you that I know where those fellows are.”

-Vice President Osinbajo may be spending his spare time playing “catcher” as he told Reporters this week that he’s searching for members of the infamous Aso Rock Cabal.

“Whoever can believe that a state governor lives on less than half a million monthly is either hypnotised, dazed or high on an inebriant.”

-Senator Shehu Sani is back for the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El Rufai and he wants to make sure that we do not accept as the truth, the latter’s public declaration of 470,000 Naira as his monthly salary.

-Femi Fani-Kayode tweeted in the heat of the $50million controversy on Thursday.

“Lying out rightly to defame someone is not politics but pure madness. I just hope someone has not stopped taking his meds.”

-Rotimi Amaechi‘s response to Femi Fani-Kayode was as subliminal as they come but we were not in the least bit confused about who he says was ranting incomprehensibly.

“Mr Muazu does not own any house in Ikoyi except his house at Walter Carrington street, Victoria Island Lagos.”

–Adamu Muazu is one of those who have been fingered the most as the owner of the building in which the EFCC found the now topical $50 million and his response to Sahara Reporter’s accusation is as “clear” as clear gets.

-Blackface. Things are definitely not very rosy between him and former band member, Tuface (TuBaba) and he had a lot of dirt to spill on Instagram last week.

Sean Spicer totally went there last week and he got whatever he was looking for by comparing Assad to Hitler. He later apologised for his statement but the milk was already spilt.

“I am not too sure those private jet owners will be excited by your fluffy, South-looking, slightly bigger than mangoes breasts. If the same men see bigger assets, I mean, those interesting Ojiakor-like ones that look like papayas, pineapples and watermelons, they will not send private jets, they will deploy submarines and fighter jets! -Reuben Abati absolutely takes the cake for the most blatantly sexist Nigerian ever with this line from his article on the lessons he learnt from watching the BBNaija show.
