GEJ to attend last ECOWAS summit as Nigeria’s President

President Goodluck Jonathan will on Tuesday, May 19, attend his last summit of ECOWAS countries.

The President is expected to attend the 47th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government holding in Accra, Ghana.

The summit coincides with the 40th anniversary of ECOWAS,

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, revealed that the President’s entourage would consist of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali; House of Representatives Majority Leader, Mrs. Mulikat Akande and other principal aides.

Jonathan will return to Abuja at the conclusion of the one-day summit.
