The German Bundesliga is back and there are hopes and reports that many other football leagues will soon hit their start button as #Footballisback begins to trend globally. The German authorities and league organizers and sponsors have also issued strict and severe directives to ensure that social distancing is adhered to, during games, and outside of games. The question as to whether the league should return or not has been a long debate and earlier in April, the appropriate stakeholders of the Bundesliga announced that they would be returning to the pitch but without the spectators and crowded crew.

With several matches scheduled for today alone, the German Bundesliga is coming off strong and fans are loving every bit of it as they have pointed out that, football hitting their screens again is just what they need at this point where the world is appearing to be at a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bundesliga kicked off with many matches and while they have pointed out that social distancing would still be maintained and players would be going on regular checkup during the period the league stays open, some fans have expressed worries over the opening of the league while others are hoping that their favourite football leagues would open as well.
Well, the German Bundesliga is not the only football activity going on, as there have been some reported international friendlies that have happened already.

As the league opens, some of the big names of the matches currently going on are Erling Braut Håland of Dortmund, Gio Ryna of Dortmund as they take their team, up against Schalke 04. One of the fun things for football fans is being able to watch the game in crowded spaces, but that may not happen because social distancing is still very essential in fighting the coronavirus spread.
All match-balls will be disinfected at half-time in the Bundesliga this weekend. #BundesligaIsBack pic.twitter.com/3wl6c1NlId

Stakeholders have shared that fans will not be able to occupy the stadia and there would be a few crewmen to make the games possible, but fans have found a way to get past the idea of not being able to watch and enjoy the game traditionally.
I've added my own crowd noise, kinda works…#BundesligaIsBack pic.twitter.com/el3nyGtzWA

While there are still conversations as it concerns other leagues on their resumption of play, many are hoping for some live actions from the Premier League, the Italian Serie A, and ultimately the UEFA Champions league. Will the measures put in place be enough to contain the spread of the coronavirus? We have our fingers crossed.
