We have racked our brains in an out, sideways and on the ball, wondering why the real king of Nigerian filmmaking, Tade Ogidan just fell off the radar. It didn’t make sense. No new work, no interviews, no branching out. Just poof.

This is the brilliance that gave us Hostages, Out of Bounds, Dangerous Twins, Owo Blow, Diamond Ring. This is even the guy whose OGD Productions gave us the forever TV blockbuster, Crime Fighters! And he just … disappears?

We thank God he recovered his senses. The man who first gave us the gift of Sola Sobowale in English speaking movies is finally back with another one – Golden Statute. We can’t sit STILL!

We are not crazy about the title to be sure, but it’s OGD so it will be good. It parades some of his best work – Richard Mofe Damijo and Sola Sobowale and mixed it up with new talent.

We cannot wait, people. We cannot even wait.
