Burna Boy goes to court and pleads “not guilty”

The universe works in funny ways! One day, you’re Burna Boy and your thousands of fans are screaming your name in a sold out concert; another day, you’re Damini Ogulu and you’re standing in the dock pleading “not guilty” to a two-count charge of conspiracy and accessory to armed robbery.

Burna Boy has been accused of conniving with a group of accomplices to rob another musician, Mr 2kay at the Eko Hotel & Suites shortly after the latter’s performance at Buckwyld & Breathless in October.

After pleading “Not Guilty”, Burna was granted a N100,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Aje Afunwa at the Ikeja Magistrate Court.

Next hearing is to hold on 29 December.

Burna up for jail or nah?
