Tekno officially signs on to Sony Music

MMMG artiste, Tekno is now signed to Sony Music following the steps of Wizkid, Davido and Ycee.

MMMG label owner, Ubi Franklin was present at the signing. Tekno shared an Instagram video of the process on Tuesday.

A similar video was also shared by Paul Okoye, CEO of Upfront and Personal, organisers of the One Africa Music Fest concert.

Ellen DeGeneres receives Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama

Talk Show host and comedian, Ellen DeGeneres is one of the 21 Americans to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama at the East Room of the White House yesterday.

Ellen was praised by President Obama for her influence on the gay rights movement and for taking the risk to come out as gay on the most public of stages in 1997.

The president said of all the other recipients, “These are the folkswho have helped make me who I am. Everybody on this stage has touched me in a powerful, personal way, in ways that they probably couldn’t imagine”.pmf-2

Other celebrities who received the medal are Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jordan, Diana Ross, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill and Melinda Gates.

Seun Egbegbe releases statement denying rumoured theft of iPhone 7 devices seun-egbegbe

Actress, Toyin Aimakhu‘s former lover, Seun Egbegbe was yesterday accused of stealing nine iPhone 7 devices from a phone store, Kaalcech Innovation and Consultancy in Lagos’ largest technology devices market, Computer Village.

In what seemed like clips from a movie scene, photos of badly-beaten and injured Seun holding the stolen devices was all over the internet in no time, adding validity to the rumours.

Early this morning, the movie producer released an official statement addressing the rumours. In the statement, he called the story “pretty laughable” and admitted that he was at Computer Village on the said date of the theft but for other reasons.

Korede Bello releases visuals for “Do Like That”Korede-Bello

The Mavin Records artiste and singer of famous hit track, Godwin, has released the video for his latest track, Do Like That.

The love song has been hot on the airwaves since its release and now that it has accompanying visuals, it is expected to top the charts.

Shot in London by UK based video director, Konstantin, Do Like That video features a club scene, which a first for Korede Bello. There are several dance scenes and as expected, a beautiful love interest.

Justin Bieber punches fan in Barcelonadownload

The Sorry singer left a male fan with a bloodied mouth after the fan touched him while arriving for his concert in Palau Saint Jordi stadium in Barcelona, Spain.

Video footage from the scene shows the fan touching the 22-year-old singer through the open window of his chauffeur-driven car. Justin Bieber then reaches out and throws him a punch in the face.

The fan expresses shock as he faces cameras with his bleeding lips, he was later seen spitting out blood as female fans look on in amazement.
