N100million lawsuit for Stephanie Linus following copyright infringement allegation

A writer and lawyer, Daniella Madudu has not only accused actress, Stephanie Linus of stealing her script for the movie, Dry, she has now gone on to serve Linus a lawsuit.

A N100million copyright infringement lawsuit.

Madudu says the movie’s storyline was stolen from her own literature “Beyond Her Veil“.

Linus has denied the claims stating facts surrounding the conception and making of the movie.

She said: “I registered the script for my movie ‘DRY’ with The United States Copyright Office on November 28TH, 2011. I registered the script for my movie ‘DRY’ with The Nigerian Copyright Commission on July 27TH, 2012. That the so called “original literary work” of the Daniella Madudu, I was supposed to have appropriated in my movie has never been registered at The Nigerian Copyright Commission even as we speak“.

The award-winning filmmaker also described the claims as “baseless, spurious and glaringly untrue“.

 

The Pia Mia/Phyno song tussle takes new turn

We’ll let you decide now that we’ve heard the submission of the writer of the “I’m A Fan” song American singer, Pia Mia was said to have stolen from Nigerian rapper, Phyno.

His name is T.Cole and he said over the weekend, “I wrote the original demo of ‘I’m A Fan’ and pitched it to various artists.  I worked with Pia Mia and Jeremih on the track and their song is the only version authorized.”

Yes! Leg Over singer, Mr Eazi is in a relationship with Temi Otedola, lifestyle blogger and DJ Cuppy’s kid sister.

The lovebirds made things public on Saturday as they attended a wedding together in Barcelona and shared photos via their Instagram and Snapchat.

Eazi shared one of the photos with the caption: “I just Met a Fan! She sabi my entire Mixtape“.

Days after releasing the tracklist for his forthcoming album, King Don Come, D’banj has released the visuals to his latest single off the album, It’s Not A Lie.

Adam West, original TV Batman dies at 88

Adam West played Batman in the original TV series in the 60s.

His family announced his death on Saturday. “Our beloved AW passed away last night. He was the greatest. We’ll miss him like crazy. We know you’ll miss him too” – West Family

He passed after “a short but brave battle with leukemia”.
