Meek Mill’s releases new album Championships with Drake, JAY-Z, more

The album includes Cardi B, Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, Rick Ross and more.

Championships is Meek’s first full-length LP since his release from prison in April. He released the four-track project “Legends of the Summer EP” in July. His last studio album, “Wins and Losses”, came out in 2017.

Kizz Daniel releases his second album, ”No Bad Songz” 

The album was released on Friday, November 30, under his label, FlyBoy Inc.

‘No Bad Songz’ contains 20 songs with guest features and production credits including Diplo, Diamond Platnumz, Wretch 32, Sarkodie, Davido on the single ‘One Ticket’ and FlyBoy inc signing, Philkeyz.

It features production from Major Bangz, Philkeyz, DJ Coublon, Luush, MOG, Killertunes and JayPhizzle.

Reggae music now has UNESCO protected status – thanks to Bob Marley

Reggae music reached international acclaim thanks to artists like Toots and the Maytals and Bob Marley is attributed for giving voice to the oppressed in Jamaica.

Reggae music’s “functions as a vehicle of social commentary, as a cathartic experience, and means of praising God remain unchanged, and the music continues to provide a voice for all,” UNESCO said.

“Students are taught how to play it from an early age, and festivals and concerts are central to ensuring its viability,” it added.

Disney’s Live-Action ‘Pinocchio’ is in the works and Tom Hanks might feature

Tom Hanks is in early talks to play the fatherly figure Geppetto in Disney’s live-action adaptation of its classic animated tale “Pinocchio.”

The original animated movie tells the tale about a living puppet who, with the help of a cricket as his conscience, must prove himself worthy to become a real boy. Geppetto is the puppeteer who created Pinocchio and eventually becomes the fatherly figure he always wanted.

Next year, Disney plans on releasing three live-action takes: “Dumbo,” which bows in March; “Aladdin,” which opens in May; and “The Lion King,” which opens in June.

DJ Khaled charged for illegally promoting bitcoin

DJ Khaled and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been charged by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for “failing to disclose payments they received for promoting investments in Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).”

The charges stem from promotional posts the two made about the cryptocurrency started by Centra Tech Inc. after receiving money to promote them—Mayweather failed to disclose a $100,000 payment, while Khaled failed to disclose a $50,000 payment.

Both Khaled and Mayweather have agreed to pay disgorgement, penalties, and interest, without “admitting or denying” the findings of the commission. Khaled paid $50,000 back, in addition to a $100,000 penalty and $2,725 in interest. He also agreed to a two-year ban from promoting any securities. Their cases are the SEC’s first cases involving touting violations regarding ICOs. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for DJ Khaled for comment.
