Entertainment Roundup: Rapper N6 calls MI a “closet homosexual midget” in Twitter exchange; Banky W survives skin cancer tumour | More stories

Our Friday edition is our favourite edition! But before TGIF sets in proper, here are the biggest stories you missed yesterday – and others that unraveled while you slept.

Rappers, MI and N6 are tweetfighting and it’s not looking good

When Choc City rapper, MI released his controversial track, You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives where he berated other rappers in the industry for under-performing, Cool FM OAP and rapper, N6 was one of the few who responded.

In a rap track titled, Fix Up Your Life, N6 called MI out pointedly asking him to “learn to be humble” and “watch his mouth” but added a note: “No beef intended. Just a friendly Joust. #ForTheCulture”.

Nearly 3 weeks after N6’s response, MI seems to have just come to terms with his L.

He replied to a tweet on the Nigerian rap industry yesterday calling N6 “trash” and a “vampire that wants to suck young artists blood”.

N6 must have woken up to the insults as he fired back calling MI a “closet homosexual midget” and dared him to a rap battle.

It may soon be raining diss tracks, guys! Anticipate!!

Banky W shares skin cancer tumour survival story

Thank God we don’t look like what we’ve been through!

R&B star, Banky W went through a major health ordeal in the past months and now that it’s all over and he has returned to good health, he decided to share it “because they’re proof of what God has brought him through.”

In a lengthy note on Instagram, the ‘Kololo’ singer revealed that he “had a 3rd surgery on a rare strain of skin cancer tumours on his shoulder last month“. According to him, the tumours resurfaced 10 years after he underwent 2 surgeries on them.

Read his story:

A wise man once said this: "Scars. A sign that you had been hurt. A sign that you had been healed." Scroll through the pictures to see mine. I'm sharing these because they're proof of what God has brought me through. And because somewhere out there, I know there's someone who needs to hear this. For those who've been wondering why I've been away so long..I had my 3rd surgery on a rare strain of skin cancer tumours in my shoulder last month. The first 2 times were over 10 yrs ago, then it recently resurfaced. But this isn't a sad story as much as it is a reminder, and a testimony. A reminder that you should never take life for granted. You only get 1 shot. Some people went to sleep and never woke up. Many others have lost the battle to cancer and other illnesses. Many are still fighting. U never know when your time will be up so don't waste another minute. It's also a testimony about the goodness of God. I think I had to go through this again to remember how merciful God is to me; Lord knows I don't deserve it but He saves me time and again anyway. I keep saying I need to write a book. I really, really do. The past few weeks of recovery have been tough, but beautiful. I'm finally back on my feet, feeling stronger and ready to get back to life. I'm especially thankful to my Nurse Susu for loving me and being by my side every step of the way – I don't deserve U ??, my parents & siblings, in-laws & close friends for the love, support and prayers, my Pastors – Pastor Tony Rapu & Pastor Del Balogun of TPH, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya and Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu – for constantly praying with and for me. And of course to Dr Wodajo & Dr Miralli & their teams – who God used to operate on me successfully. I'm thankful for life, provision and healing. Pls dont feel bad, or msg me with any worries.. God has done it, just thank Him for me. The pain will eventually go away but the scar won't – and I'm glad because it's a reminder to me of what God has done, and evidence to you of what He CAN do. I'm not stronger or better than anyone. I'm just a living testimony that no matter what u face, U can survive & thrive, by God's grace. #TheBankStatements #nowplaying #BlessingMe

Taylor Swift’s Reputation is out

Months after she nearly broke the internet with the first single off the body of works, Look What You Made Me Do, Taylor Swift has now released her hugely anticipated album, Reputation.

Swift dropped the 15-track album minutes before midnight on Thursday, although some tracks had leaked online earlier in the day.

#reputation is out now. Let the games begin.

Reputation will not be available to streaming sites for now, as part of Swift’s campaign against streaming services who pay artistes low royalties. It is, however, available for purchase on iTunes.
