Omawumi comes out with the visuals of her latest work, ‘Me Ke’ with the ‘Mama’ singer, Kizz Daniel. – Ok he has changed his name to KIZZ DANIEL.

Omawumi, in her usual knack for telling stories through her music, borrows this one, ‘Me Ke’, from the popular Nigerian (Itsekiri) folktale which tells this interesting story about a mourning dove who had a sad thing happen to ‘him’.

It’s a powerful tale, expertly expressed by Omawumi with the soothing interjections from Kizz Daniel.

Directed by Michael Bay

Paramount has pulled the seventh “Transformers” movie from its 2019 schedule. The film was set for release on June 28, 2019.

Paramount has not announced a new date for the seventh film. The studio will instead release Limited Partners on June 28.

Grammy Chief accused of steering money from charity

In a letter addressed to the Recording Academy Board of Trustees, which is holding annual meetings in Hawaii this week, former MusiCares VP Dana Tomarken accuses chairman/president Neil Portnow of choosing to steer money away from the charity in order to fund a deficit from this year’s Grammy telecast, and of brokering a deal to hold the organisation’s annual Person of the Year event at a venue that left the charity with a significant loss in 2018 fundraising efforts, resulting in a projected $1 million for this year’s event, as opposed to $5 million in 2017, Variety reports.

Tomarken, who was fired on April 16 after 25 years with the Academy, also claims wrongful termination, explaining that she and coworker Dorit Kalev were fired over the bill for a $2,500 MusiCares auction item that she was late in paying. She also says she was terminated “after a painful year of trying to protect MusiCares from being exploited, enduring ongoing instances of workplace abuse and harassment” from two male coworkers whom she names in the letter.

Netflix close to surpassing Disney in worth

Netflix surpassed Comcast in market value Wednesday, thanks to a new record high for the video streaming company’s stock price. Netflix’s market cap also came within arm’s-length of Disney, with both companies separated by just a few hundred million dollars.

Netflix ended Wednesday’s day of trading with a stock price of $344.72, resulting in a total market cap of $152.8 billion. Comcast’s market cap at the close of the markets was $147.15 billion.

Netflix’s stock was up close to 4% Wednesday following Tuesday’s announcement of signing former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama for a production deal. Comcast’s stock ended the day down around 2%.

Even more striking: Netflix’s valuation is strikingly close to that of Disney, which ended Wednesday’s day of trading with a market cap of $153.36 billion — less than $500 million above Netflix’s market cap.
