MTV has suspended the production on Catfish following allegations of sexual misconduct against host Nev Schulman.

Allegations against the 33-year-old host emerged earlier this week, after a woman who appeared on the show back in 2015 posted two YouTube videos, claiming a man, who she dubs ‘Jack’, made a number of inappropriate comments.

“We take these allegations very seriously,” an MTV spokesperson said in a statement.

“We’re working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.”

Catfish: The TV Show is an American reality-based documentary television series airing on MTV about the truths and lies of online dating. The series is based on the 2010 film Catfish and is co-hosted by Max Joseph.

American singer and actress, Ariana Grande has spoken out about the Manchester Arena attack, describing it as the “absolute worst of humanity”.

“Music is supposed to be the safest thing in the world. I think that’s why it’s still so heavy on my heart every single day.

“I wish there was more that I could fix. You think with time it’ll become easier to talk about. Or you’ll make peace with it. But every day I wait for that peace to come and it’s still very painful.”
