Kechi Okwuchi makes it to America’s Got Talent finals 

Following her Tuesday night semi-finals performance that moved some of the judges to tears, Kechi Okwuchi has now made it to the finals of the America’s Got Talent show.

Kechi contended for the spot with Scottish mind reader, Colin Cloud and dance group, Diavolo to earn the #DunkinSave.

The announcement was followed by loud applause from the studio audience and a standing ovation from the judges.

Kechi, who survived the 2012 Sosoliso plane crash, reacted on Twitter, “Always thot it was so cheesy wen ppl say this but THIS IS MORE THAN I EVER DREAMED! Never been more humbled in my life. Thank u all @AGT

 

Monalisa Chinda wants women to quit provoking their husbands 

In recent times, the number of women who have fallen victims of domestic violence has spiraled and conversations on the spate have become all too important.

Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda got the chance to weigh in on the topic when she appeared on comedian Okey Bakassi’s satirical news show, The Other News.

Chinda said, “As much as I detest all forms of violence against women and men, women should quit provoking their man by beating punches and slaps. I’m a domestic violence [enthusiast]. I always research when I hear fresh stories about domestic violence. Half the time, it is the women. God just gave us this running Okra mouth. Women, don’t fight with people who are stronger than you.”

She concurred with the opinion of the Lagos State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Lola Akande who commented on the topic weeks ago naming gullibility, verbal insults and other factors on the part of women as the drive for domestic violence.

Mr Eazi quit a $6,000 job because he was frustrated

This happened before he became Mr Eazi though.

In an interview with Beat FM’s Olisa Adibua and Maria Okanrende on The Morning Rush, Eazi told of how he quit an oil and gas job in Port Harcourt that paid $6000 but failed to give him any fulfilment.

The ‘Leg Over’ singer also talked about how he went on to sell phones in Computer Village despite having a Masters degree and his family’s reaction to all his adventures before he finally got himself his first singing gig in London.
