Stephanie Linus becomes UNFPA regional maternal health ambassador

Nollywood actress, Stephanie Linus has been appointed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) as its regional maternal health ambassador for West and Central Africa.

As UNFPA ambassador, Stephanie Linus will help advocate and raise awareness on issues that surround teenage pregnancy among girls in the region, whilst encouraging policies and laws that protect the rights and dignity of the girl child.

Receiving the honour, Mrs Linus who produced the award-winning movie that told the story of a child bride, said: “It is my aspiration that access to reproductive health care for women and girls, especially family planning will be seen not as a blessing to be wished for, but as a human right to be fought for,”

It’s just the best show that ever graced TV returning for its seventh season. It’s Game of Thrones 7!

On Thursday, HBO made the announcement via Facebook Live with a block of ice encasing the premiere date.

The over 160,000 viewers of the live broadcast were asked to type “fire” to help the ice melt faster.

Characters Bran Stark, Cersei Lannister and Jamie Lannister were some of those who appeared in the broadcast encouraging viewers to melt the ice, although it never did.

It is reported that even the cast were shocked when they got the script of season 7 of the fantasy drama. Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark tweeted to fans: “S—t gets REAL…I’d start preparing yourselves now…Scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this.”

Psquare acquire new mansion in Ikoyi

To celebrate their 35th birthday, the twin brothers have a new mansion in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.

The award-winning duo shared the photos of the massive home via their separate Instagram pages yesterday and the only thing we can say is: “these ones have blown beyond control“.

Kcee releases fresh single Romantic Call

Five star music act, Kcee has returned with his first single this 2017 and he titles it Romantic Call.

Produced by Dr Amir, the reggae dance  track is accompanied with crisp visuals which offers nothing different from most dance music videos we’ve seen in recent years.
