Two All Progressives Congress Senators, Ahmed Lawan and George Akume, staged a walk out during plenary session at the Senate.
The pair led their colleagues to exit the Red Chamber over the fact that Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu presided over plenary session, in the absence of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Saraki was away at the presidential villa, where he had gone to witness the inauguration of President Buhari’s ministers.
But the APC Senators, miffed and vexed, couldn’t stomach the idea of a Peoples Democratic Party Senator presiding over an APC-controlled Senate.
Subsequent to the walk-out, Lawan and other APC Senators reportedly discussed briefly in a cluster, after which they headed to their offices.
