Donald Trump says his use of social media is modern day presidential, we say LOL

It appears Americans have got themselves a 71-year-old man-baby for a president.

Donald Trump, has been the 45th POTUS for less than 200 days and in the short time he’s been President, the real Donald Trump has undressed himself as the least Presidential human being to ever grace the democratic face of the earth. His stripper pole of choice – social media. And it’s been mostly to the chagrin of American liberal media and the amusement of the rest of the world.

But for Der Donald, his “use of social media is not Presidential – it’s MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL”. This is evidenced in his Sunday morning covfefe through his “sweet Twitter handle”. Let’s take a look:

Moments before that tweet he said, “…I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media. I had to beat #FakeNews, and did. We will continue to WIN!”

We think that if Donald Trump’s use of social media is modern day presidential as he claims, then it means America has incidentally paved the way for the election of cyber bullies as President.

The man has spent a very large portion of his time as president launching very personal attacks on any and everyone he considers his detractor. He has often gone above and beyond to reject reasonable counsel of his media advisors, press handlers and close friends to unleash his sweet Twitter handle on anyone who dares say anything negative about him and friends and family.

Trump’s latest attack posted to his 33 million Twitter users  against Morning Joe hosts prompted backlash from not only his regular detractors but also his own camp. In fact, Fox News, a conservative cable network known for bending over backwards to defend Trump, had to interrupt a widely covered White House Press briefing just to lash out at him. Host Julie Banderas called his tweets sexist and compared his use of social media to a 4-year-old’s natural reaction to criticism.

Paul Ryan, the Republican House Speaker, had to immediately dissociate himself and outrightly called his tweets out as ‘inappropriate”, even though that does not begin to cut how bad his insults were. That’s how bad Trump was on social media last week. But that does not even begin to describe his despicable and unprecedented use of new media as president.

He’s attacked everyone from London’s Mayor to Pulitzer-prize-winning David Cay JohnstonJames Comey, CNN, The New York Times, Nancy Pelosi, The Washington Post and even a whole country!  Trump has used his Twitter to attack celebrities, Obama and even Hillary Clinton, whom he won at the last polls but cannot seem to get over. He’s attacked federal judges just as he’s attacked Chelsea Manning. He has used his Twitter to offer support to a candidate in a foreign election, an act Americans find so despicable that they have used it as the basis to continue fuel the ongoing the fight against Russia. Just as he has used it to canvass support for private businesses owned by his supporters.

Donald Trump’s twitter is so sickening with all his sexist insults.

But most of all, Trump has lied. He’s lied about major things and inconsequential ones like crowd size. In fact, he’s been so bad on Twitter that he’s more than once posted incomplete or meaningless tweets.

While Trump’s flurry of Tweet-attacks against his detractors, mainly the mainstream media may have some justification because he has often been the subject of vicious attacks even when not properly vetted, his response to them are even more unjustifiable.

In one of his tweets on Sunday, Trump said, “I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!”

Sure, no other world leader has deployed social media like Trump but this pace-setting has not necessarily translated positively. He uses it to pass his message across to the citizenry in an unfiltered way but also in a vicious way that makes one want to censor his tweet from young children and impressionable teens who must see his tweets.

By this statement that his social media usage is “modern day presidential”, Trump has once again shown that he resides in a universe where Kellyanne’s alt-facts are truth. His attack on the media and on individuals is often personal and frankly, beneath the office he occupies. And even when he tweets about policy, those have to be fact-checked.

Trump has and is taking his social media usage from a place of getting his message out to Americans to attacking the media and anyone in the opposition – regardless of their party affiliations. This approach is everything but presidential. It reeks of low self-esteem. It has the distasteful aroma of one who is devoid of personal satisfaction and joy in himself.

Just look at this:

Modern day presidential indeed!
