Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye has petitioned the National Chairman of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Odigie Oyegun to prevail on the government to reverse the hike of petrol from N86/L to N145/L.
Melaye, despite being an elected senator on the platform of the ruling party in the late hours of Thursday, May 12 posted on his Facebook page registering his anger at the price hike which would affect the citizenry adversely.
Melaye threatened that if he is ignored after 7 days, he will mobilise the mother of all protests against the Federal Government.
Melaye said: “If after seven days from Monday, there is no reversal, I will mobilize Nigerians from all walks of life for the mother of all protest.
“This is not what we promised Nigerians. The time is not right and the negative effects will be unbearable. A word is enough for the wise.”
