Beer

A Spanish man, Joaquin Alcaraz Gracia, drank six litres of beer in order to win a beer-drinking competition. Unfortunately, shortly after being declared the victor, he died.

In order to win this contest, contestants had to drink as many litre-glasses of beer as possible in 20 minutes.

“Then he just started to vomit without stopping and never spoke again,” Antonio Alcaraz told the Spanish newspaper Hoy. Emergency responders apparently described 45-year-old Gracia as “obese.”

Gracia suffered a heart attack and died at hospital a short time later. This contest is a reportedly a long tradition in Hoy.
