Operatives of the police command in Edo have apprehended a  man on suspicion of incest.

Augustine Obodeke is said to have had sexual intercourse with his daughter and gotten her pregnant twice.

Mr. Obodeke also reportedly forced his daughter to have abortions twice to conceal the illicit act.

The Nation reports:

Obodeke said he lived with his daughter and son after the death of his wife.

He said he used to sleep with his daughter at night.

Police said Obodeke procured abortion for his daughter twice before the victim cried out.
