Cookie Lyon roars atop Time Magazine’s 16 most influential fictional characters list

An obvious choice if we must say.

Empire‘s ‘no-nonsense’ female lead character, Cookie Lyon played by Hollywood star, Taraji P. Henson has been crowned as the most influential fictional character of 2015 by Time Magazine.

Christian Grey of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, Jon Snow of ‘Game of Thrones’ were both included in The magazine’s 16 fictional characters list.

On why Cookie Lyon topped the list, TIME explains that: “With her high-drama scheming and higher-drama wardrobe, the Lyon family matriarch (played by Taraji P. Henson) was the biggest draw on TV’s most popular new show, Empire, luring more than 13 million viewers a week. In addition to spawning countless memes and catchphrases, she also helped inspire a clothing line at Saks Fifth Avenue. As Cookie herself said, “That’s my name. Take a bite.”
