While we wait for Asa to release her much-anticipated album, for which we have already been blessed with two singles already, the singer tweeted the books she was reading at the moment: The Republic of Gupta by South African investigative journalist Pieter-Louis Myburgh, This Present Darkness by Stephen Ellis, Steinheist by Rob Rose, When Zuma Goes by Ralph Mathekga, Manage Your Money like A F*ucking Grown Up by Sam Beckbessinger, and Diamonds Gold and War by Martin Meredith

It’s hard to say if these books had any influence on Asa’s forthcoming album, but it’s lovely to see that Asa is edifying herself and getting knowledge. Which of the books are you going to check out?
