Why Buhari is to blame for Biafra agitation, protests – Ohaneze Ndigbo

A chieftain of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ozo Anaekwe, has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s marginalization of Ndigbo is the reason behind the renewed agitation for Biafra by the members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

Speaking on Saturday in Onitsha, Anaekwe said Buhari’s utterances, policies and actions towards the South-East, is responsible for the recent protests.

Anaekwe said Buhari’s continuous marginalization, intimidation and injustice towards the Igbos is why there’ll continue to be protests and agitations for Biafra.

“How can you appoint people to govern Nigeria and you ignored Ndigbo with their mammoth population and contribution to the development of this country?

And since Buhari became President, he had never uttered a word or taken action that would bring peace to this country.”

He has not acted like a statesman. He is on a revenge mission. He talks as if he is on a war front,” said Anaekwe.
