Lil Kim‘s new bleached-out pictures caused a stir on social media last weekend, as many couldn’t seem to reconcile her former dark complexion with the new shade of her skin.

On Sunday, the Grammy-winning rapper shared photos of herself on Instagram – rocking a blonde hair, puckered lips and her skin looking extremely fair.

Social media went into an overdrive as many lambasted the American singer for bleaching.

And while Nigerian social media also got involved in the Lil Kim-bashing, we took a look into the mirror and came up with 6 of our own celebrities – who have also been in the same situation for allegedly tweaking their natural complexions.

1. Cynthia Morgan

After staying away from the Nigerian music scene for some time, Cynthia Morgan re-surfaced in 2014 with a much lighter complexion.

In her defence, she argued that her new skin shade was as a result of time spent in the United States of America.

2. Toke Makinwa

The Rhythm FM OAP was also viciously attacked when old pictures surfaced online and fans/haters alike were astonished at the drastic change in her skin tone.

3. Sean Tizzle

Bleaching rumours have trailed Sean Tizzle since his career kicked-off in 2013 with his black and yellow knuckles being the bone of contention.

4. Ice Prince

This is an unexpected addition, but the Chocolate City rapper has also been accused of bleaching.

Fans were alarmed, when he posted the picture above where, like Sean Tizzle, the shade of his knuckles were contrasting.

5. Dabota Lawson

This ex-beauty queen has been accused of skin colour enhancement on many occasions.

Recently, she was involved in a war of words with a popular blogger on the same issue.

6. Dencia

Finally, the queen of the ‘Whitenicious’ million dollar empire.

The Nigerian/Cameroonian singer who launched the controversial skin-care cream, Whitenicious, in 2012, faced public backlash for using her product to promote bleaching.

But Dencia is unperturbed by all the hullabaloo, as she’s a proud user and ambassador of her brand.
