It has been a while since Carmen Electra donned the red high-cut swimwear of Baywatch, but no doubt there were a few men wanting to be rescued in Hawaii this week.

While she was not wearing the lifeguard red, the 41-year-old got hearts racing in a simple black string bikini on the beach in Maui on Thursday.

Proving unlike many celebrities who spend big on designer bikinis, Carmen did not need a fancy piece of swimwear to look amazing.

The simple black string bikini was sufficient for the Scary Movie star to show off her fabulous physique.

Posing as if she was doing a magazine shoot, Carmen got a large group of male friends to snap away.

Cavorting on the sand and doing her best pin-up girl impression, the star narrowly missed numerous wardrobe malfunctions as the bikini top struggled to contain her more than ample assets.

Throwing her head back, the beauty’s golden brown hair flowed down her back in prefect beach waves as the sunglass-clad Carmen made sure to show off her best angles.

After her impromptu shoot, it was back to the important business of vacationing with the star grabbing a tropical frozen cocktail complete with a slice of pineapple and an orchid garnish.

While enjoying her almost island mandated treat, the 41-year-old happily chatted away to her large group of hunky male friends with a big smile on her face.

Besides having a body better than most woman half her age and the stunning tropical locale, Carmen was in one her favourite spots in the world.

As she touched down in Hawaii on Tuesday the actress revealed the islands hold a very special place in her heart.

The model model tweeted: ‘Ever since my 1st trip 2 HI w/ my mom when I was 12, I felt a connection. After she passed the islands hold a special place in my heart…’

Carmen’s mother Patricia died in 1998 of a brain tumor.

Clearly revelling in a chance to back somewhere that reminds of her late mother, Carmen posted an image of herself with her arms outstretched at sunset on the beach.

The star captioned the stunning image: ‘Feeling free in paradise.’

The vacation also gave Carmen a chance to let loose a little and celebrate the realse of her new dance track I Like It Loud.

According to the Hawaii Reporter, wedding dress designer Yoshi Nojiri threw a lavish Moroccan themed event for the brunette beauty at a privet home.

The party combined with fun beach times, meant Carmen was having a blast, and the star tweeted to let her fans know all about the fun she was having.

‘Having the opportunity 2 share this week w/ my closest friends is a dream come true! TY Yoshi 4 making this happen!!’
