A boy of 15 has been charged with sexual assault after a pensioner was attacked at her sheltered accommodation.

Police were called to reports that a man had exposed himself to an elderly lady at the property in Rochdale.

The offender was let into the home and indecently assaulted her in her bedroom, Greater Manchester Police said.

The attack happened at around 12.20pm on November 3.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear before Bury Magistrates Court this morning charged with sexual assault.

The victim, whose age has not been released, is being supported by specially trained officers.
