Nigerian journalist, Kiki Mordi has, in recent times, lent her platform to conversations centered around rape, abuse and violence as it concerns Nigerians. One noteworthy thing about the ‘sex-for-grades’ journalist is her unorthodox approach to many controversial topics in Nigeria and her passion for the issues she advocates for, often at the risk of targeted harassment.
Nigerians are exploring an accusatory tweet from Nigerian realtor, Segun Awosanya, popularly known as Segalink – alleging she “played the role of the hitman” and sent threats to him and Seyitan Babatayo because he had intervened in the police case between Seyitan and entertainer, D’Banj.
Kiki Mordi is playing the role of the hitman under the auspices of the Coven sending threats to Seyitan and myself. We have it all on record. It will end in premium tears for her & their coven and she will be revealed for the monster that she’s become on this agenda. #EndRape

This escalated after news broke that Seyitan withdrew her accusation of rape against the singer, Oladapo Oyebanji (D’banj). For many, these two activists, Mordi and Sega, played a huge role from the inception of the case to its dissolution.
Press Statement: In line w/ our key values— integrity & transparency; this is a detailed report of STER & partner NGO’s intervention in the case of Ms Seyitan Babatayo against Mr Oyebanjo (aka D'Banj).
As an NGO, STER remains committed to supporting survivors of SGBV in Nigeria. pic.twitter.com/BaR0cPN9Pu

Following through with his accusation against Kiki, Sega shared a screenshot to buttress his points that suggest that Kiki is a ‘man-hating’ activist that is ‘out to get all men.’ A tweet he has since deleted after it was quickly challenged as doctored.
We live in a country governed by law and order however imperfect but to allow prejudiced, hateful, socially maladjusted and scorned chauvinist roam spaces with targeted harassment & premeditated mischiefs against leading men will be unfortunate. We protect the vulnerable. pic.twitter.com/7jlmj6DxBI

Recall that Kiki and Sega were both originally working together to find the truth behind Seyitan’s accusation and getting justice on the right level for the accused and accuser.
For many, Kiki Mordi has been the face of the alleged ‘feminist coven’ that was allegedly pushing the case till it was withdrawn after a non-monetary settlement. Segalink on the other hand had shared his stance against rape and false accusation even as it was gathered that he was at the center of the agreement with Seyitan to withdraw the case.
Now, everyone has left the original problem and are focused on Segalink vs Kiki Mordi. When they're statements put out.
People are siding based on which of the two people they hate more not about the facts/lies that has been put out and we know better who the witches are…

Nigerians on Twitter are now sharing their thoughts on the fallout between Kiki and Sega even as many shared that there may be more than meets the eye with Seyitan withdrawing the case.
Here are a few reactions…
We must protect Kiki Mordi at all costs.

Ask Sega for proof that Kiki threatened him and his minions will jump out to tell you “Are you a court of law that he should show you proof?”. Sha keep this energy when it’s a rape victim speaking up.

You people are telling me Kiki Mordi has been a man hating misandrist masquerading as a feminist even before #Sexforgrades ????
Where is the sign up sheet? I am ready to serve my Queen!

Men really need to ask themselves why women fighting against rape angers them so much. How does the work of STER and Kiki concern you if it’s not against your own personal interests?
— Adaku Ufere (@AdakuUfere) July 26, 2020
It’s stupid to say Kiki mordi was accused of something without proof, isn’t that basically what we’ve been doing here?? didn’t we accuse Dbanj without proof. didn’t we accuse Seyitan without proof, sega too?. You think they all didn’t get death threats.
STFU!! it goes around

Some dude fabricated a screenshot saying things that Kiki Mordi never tweeted. A tweet from 2014 cannot look like that. In fact, back then, Twitter did not even allow more than 140 characters and Segalink knows this. He knows the screenshot is fake but he's tweeting it anyways.

For the record, Segalink is tweeting and publicizing an obviously fake screenshot with the sole purpose of slandering Kiki Mordi.
Just so you know how reprehensible a human being he is.
FYI in 2014, Kiki Mordi was not yet a journalist. And tweets only had 140 characters. pic.twitter.com/KrhVrfPYiG

Many debates that Segalink threatening and painting Kiki to be a ‘man-hating’ activist is showing how the Nigerian society has thrived in silencing the voice of many women and victims of abuse, rape, and other social injustices targeted against women.
